Guinea Premiere!
August, 2008:
US Embassy -
Guinea, Conakry
Last month, “Death of Two Sons” screened for an audience of over 50 people at the American Embassy in Conakry. The audience, made up of Guinean and international citizens, responded enthusiastically. According to Andrew McLean, the Embassy's Cultural Affairs Officer and host of the event:
“People were very moved by the story, especially some of the Peace Corps staff who attended.”
One emotional Guinean audience member had this to say:
“Amadou and Jesse shared a common destiny, each to die in the other's home country … they shared the tragedy.”
